Yesterday I went to the Duncansby Stacks for a walk along the clifftops. I've been surprised by the fulmars there. It seems an unusually high number of them at this time of year.
I did a quick sketch of where two cliff edges jut out to form a kind of small fjord. The lowering afternoon light was just catching the tops of them as they fell into shadow below. The North Sea is just beyond.
It has been another beautiful weekend.
Here's an autumnal photo I took of Freswick Castle at around 3:30 pm this evening, as the sun was starting to go down.
Have a great evening and a good start to your week!
